I know we’ve talked about how amazing Green Tea is for you, so most of you are pretty up to date with all the amazing health benefits. But luckily for us, Green Tea is much more than just the most sought after beverage of the year – it also has some pretty neat uses for body and skin care!

Adapted from The Book of Green Tea by Diana Rosen, here’s an amazing tea recipe that won’t go in your mouth!

Green Tea Soothing Spray

1 cup of green tea leaves
1 quart of spring water

Steep the leaves in boiling water for 20 minutes. Cool and strain into a spray bottle. Refrigerate.

So what does this green, magical, Hogwarts worthy, spray do?

  1. Use as a cool and refreshing bath splash
  2. Perk up for tired skin – hands, face, feet, and body!
  3. Anti-fungal foot soak (soak feet in the recipe instead of in the spray bottle, do not rinse)
  4. Mouthwash
  5. Minor cuts, rashes, and abrasions (soak cotton pad with soother and apply for five minutes. Can be repeated up to 4 times per day)
  6. Soothe a sunburn  (soak cloth and hold on skin for about 15 minutes)
  7. Freshen eyes!  (soak cotton pad, squeeze out excess solution, and lay gently on lids for 10 minutes)
  8. Blemish remedy (Splash, spray, or dot on blemish. Do not rinse)
